How About The Cabbage Soup Diet?
Here's another diet that's been around for years --
the cabbage soup
diet
.
This one's also
known as the Mayo Clinic Diet, TJ's Miracle Diet, The Russian Peasant
Diet, Military Cabbage Soap, The Banana Diet and The Sacred Heart Diet.
For seven days you eat all the cabbage soup you want plus specific
other foods on each of the seven days. Here's the plan day-by-day for
the seven days. As you will see, you get to eat many different things
over the week.
Day One:
Eat all the fruit you want except bananas. Drink
unsweetened tea,
cranberry juice and water. To repeat, every day you can eat all the
cabbage soup you want.
Day Two:
Eat all the fresh, raw or cooked vegetables you
want. No fruits.
Avoid dry beans, peas and corn. For dinner have a big baked potato with
butter.
Day Three:
Today eat all the soup, fruits and vegetables you
want. No baked potato.
Day Four:
Believe it or not, remember I said this is also
known as the banana
diet. Eat up to EIGHT bananas plus all the skim milk you want!!! Soup
too, of course.
Day Five:
This is beef and tomatoes day. Eat ten to twenty
ounces of beef and
up to six fresh tomatoes. Drink at least six to eight glasses of water
this day. You may substitute broiled or baked chicken for the beef.
Day Six:
Eat all the beef and vegetables you want on this
day. Eat soup. But no baked potato today.
Day Seven:
Today you finish up with brown rice plus
unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables. Eat all you want plus the soup.
That's the the cabbage soup
diet plan
. I've done it.
It's not that hard,
especially the bananas and milk day(!!), and after all it's only for a
few days.
You will lose weight fast, but please include this
in
an overall plan to change your lifestyle. That's the only way to get
excess weight off and keep it off. Change the way you eat and include
exercise
in your routine to succeed in losing weight and improving your
health.
